Renowned for its spectacular vantage point, Serengeti House is available for private use by families and friends who can enjoy the elegance and comfort of the beautifully appointed house and facilities, with unsurpassed views over the plains below. The property is beautifully furnished in the style of a contemporary family home, with wide open verandas, elegant neutral colours and African aritifacts and objets d’art throughout. It is an elegantly appointed home, designed for comfort with the intention that guests feel that they are in a ‘home away from home’.
A twenty five metre infinity style lap pool sits in front of the main house, together with a fire pit and seating overlooking the waterhole and plains below. Spa facilities are available either in house or at the nearby Sasaskwa Lodge. There is a creative in house chef who creates fresh gourmet meals and a contingent of staff to look after guests’ every need. Dinner is served family style in the centre of the dining table. A gym is available for guest use.
The house is an ideal choice for families or couples getting together and sleeps up to eight guests. There are two suites in the main house in addition to two garden suites, each with their own television and WIFI access. Bathrooms are supplied with converters and hair dryers. Full laundry and valet services are included with your stay at Serengeti House.
There is an abundance of wildlife to be seen at Serengeti House. Both daytime and night time game drives are offered and animals to be seen include but are not limited to cheetah, wildebeest, bat eared foxes, black rhino, Maasai giraffe, lion, elephant, buffalo and leopard.
Wildlife is prevalent year round, however, the Great Migration is a particular feature of the area, as over two million animals make their way from Tanzania to Kenya from September to October each year. Remarked as one of the “New Seven Wonders of the World’, this is truly a spectacle to behold. Generally the animals are moving from the wetter south eastern plains of the Serengeti to the dryer plains just north of the Serengeti National Park and between June and August the plains have an abundance of animals therein.
