Following a retreat at Malabar Hall, a short safari is the perfect way to round off a trip to Africa. This add-on safari takes you to a number of animal hotspots across Southern Africa, giving you a fantastic overlook of what the region has to offer.
  • Flight required to VFA (Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe). This is where we would collect you for your ongoing safari.

Batonka Guest Lodge (3 nights) – Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

First, spend three nights at the gorgeous Batonka Guest Lodge on a bed and breakfast board. Located near the Victoria Falls, Batonka is a boutique, friendly lodge with an immaculate customer service record. Notable features include the swimming pool, indoor and outdoor dining, curio shop, a gorgeous lounge and sprawling verandah. With its cosy interior and tranquil settings, Batonka offers guests close access to a number of local activities and experiences. Ranging from the Victoria Falls Bridge bungee, to horse-back safaris, to game drives, day trips to Chobe and the Chinotimba Township, you’ll be hard pressed to choose what to do first! As a part of your stay, we would organize for a spectacular sunset cruise along the Zambezi River. This is the perfect opportunity to see animals coming to drink at dusk, whilst enjoying the luxury of the Zambezi Royal. Additionally, a helicopter flight over the thundering Victoria Falls, as well as an intimate tour on foot, is the perfect way to finish the Zimbabwean leg of your safari!

  • Shared charter on small aircraft to Khawi Concession, Botswana.
  • This is followed by a road transfer to Sable Alley.

Sable Alley (3 nights) – Kwai, Botswana

Next, we would organize for a three night stay at Sable Alley on a fully inclusive basis. Not only is Khwai Private Reserve one of Botswana’s best kept secrets, it’s also home to the lovely Sable Alley. Opened in 2017, Sable is a piece of light, bright and beautiful luxury amid the game-rich floodplains of Khwai, and the best news is that it’s as sustainable as it is sophisticated. Located right on the banks of a lily-covered lagoon, home to hippo and a favourite drinking spot for elephant and buffalo, the big game quite literally comes to you at Sable. Just like the bedrooms, the communal areas are designed around the spectacular vistas. Watch the happenings at the lagoon from the bar, drink in hand, from the outdoor fire pit or from a comfy sofa in the lounge. At night, dinner is served either in the indoor dining area or alfresco on the deck, accompanied by twinkling stars and views over surrounding wildlife. A swimming pool and sun deck are also both unique spots from which to watch the hippo pods emerge from the lagoon, or simply for some relaxation in the middle of the day. There’s an exciting range of activities to choose from, including day and evening game drives, mokoro excursions (when water levels permit), game walks, viewing hides, and more.

  • Shared charter on small aircraft to Maun International Airport, Botswana.
  • Commercial flight to Cape Town, South Africa.

Kensington Place (3 nights) – Cape Town, South Africa.

Finally, we would recommend a stay at Kensington Place, on a bed and breakfast basis. Located in the leafy Cape Town suburb of Higgovale, surrounded by Table Mountain and overlooking the city, this luxury boutique hotel houses just eight spacious suites. Sink into the total comfort of meticulously designed suites defined by a blend of luscious textures and contemporary detail. A dedicated concierge team will ensure that your visit to Cape Town is a unique one. Breakfast is served throughout the day and a seasonal menu is always on hand should you wish to dine by the pool or on your own private terrace. The food is certainly a highlight at this petite hotel! As a final treat, we would organize a Cape Peninsular tour. Discover the highlights of Cape Town as you embark on a full tour around the Peninsula. Travel in and out of pretty bays, see species of African game, stroll with penguins and admire exotic plants as you explore one of the continent’s most southerly points. This is certainly an ideal way to view this gorgeous city!
