Explore wildlife rich and luxurious camps in Hwange National Park, the Matusadona National Park in Kariba and the breathtaking Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe and end in the culturally diverse and historic city of Cape Town.

Season

The ‘high’ season runs from June to November, with the rest of the year considered the ‘green’ season. Both have different highlights and features: wildlife populations are at their peak and best visibility during ‘high’ season, whereas a number of animals drop their young in the ‘green’ season. Dependent on your safari expectations, we can pick the best season in which to plan your honeymoon adventure!

Pioneers Camp, Zambezi National Park

Pioneers Camp is an intimate, beautifully appointed, tented camp. It is located inside the Zambezi National Park, on a lovely quiet stretch of Zambezi River shoreline with a natural spring-line, Mpala Jena, running through the site. All activities are run with our professionally trained guides. This area has a healthy, and increasing, game count and with the Zambezi River along the park’s boundary. There are many other activities available such as fishing, canoeing, sunset cruises as well as guided walking along the Mpala Jena springline. It is so close to Vic Falls that guests can easily go into town to enjoy some ‘adventure’, a game of golf, high tea at the Vic Falls Hotel or anything equally decadent! The park offers further game drives, walking, bird-watching, and of course, ‘river’ activities too.

 

Victoria Falls Hotel, Victoria Falls

Somalisa, Hwange National Park

Set in the heart of Hwange National Park, Somalisa Camp offers guests the perfect blend of old African charm and elegance. Tucked beneath an acacia island along the edge of an ancient seasonal flood plain, this camp has breathtaking views of the savannah plains of the famous Kennedy Vlei line. The Hide, Hwange National Park

Voted the ‘Best Tented Safari Camp’ in Zimbabwe on thirteen occasions, The Hide is named for its extraordinary walk-in wildlife viewing blind, adjacent to the large waterhole, which is visited day and night by a full range of game. The Hide is a fantastic base for an exploration of the Eastern grasslands and woodlands of Hwange. Game drives take guests to different areas of the park, where they are party to a range of habitats and wildlife highlights. This is one of the best places to see lion, leopard and African wild dog (painted dog) among the hundred or so other mammal and four hundred bird species found in few other places in Africa. The lodge features waterhole hideaways, luxurious wine cellars, nature walks, sundowners in the wild, game drives, night drives and nature walks.
